We reveal for the first time the pioneering work of the Backpack Medics - a team of ethnic minority people, risking their lives and hiking thousands of miles to treat sick and wounded villagers targeted by the ethnic cleansing policy of the Burmese Junta.
With exclusive access, we follow a backpack emergency surgeon on the frontline as he saves lives and trains a new generation while under constant threat from the brutality of the Burmese Army.
